Fall recreation registration is open

(1-minute read)

Registration for Reading Recreation’s Fall programs is now open, but families may notice a shorter lineup than usual this season. The Recreation Department is currently undergoing staffing changes that will temporarily limit the number of programs it can offer and oversee.

What’s still available

Despite the reduced schedule, many of Reading Rec’s staple programs remain open for registration, including SNL Flag Football, Junior League Basketball, Special Skates, Adult Leagues, and Sports Clinics.

The Nashoba Valley Ski & Snowboard Program is also returning this season, though registration for that program doesn’t open until October 14 at 8:00 am.

What’s changed

Reading Rec didn’t specify which programs are being paused or for how long, only that the current staffing situation is temporary. The department said it’s looking forward to returning to its full slate of programming as soon as possible and continuing to offer quality recreation opportunities for the community in the meantime.

How to register

Families can register for available Fall programs now on the Reading Recreation Division website. Residents with questions about a program that isn’t currently listed may want to reach out to Reading Recreation directly for the latest updates.
