Prescott Street paving scheduled for October 22

The Town of Reading Department of Public Works has announced that paving work will begin on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 7:00 am, weather permitting. Contractor PJ Albert Inc. will be applying a binder mix on Prescott Street, between Sunnyside Avenue and Summer Avenue.

During this time, delays, detours, and temporary road closures should be expected. Residents who need to use their vehicles are asked to relocate them outside the work zone before 7:00 am. On-street parking will be prohibited and strictly enforced by the Reading Police Department.

If paving coincides with your scheduled trash day, please place trash and recycling at the curb by 6:30 am to ensure pickup before work begins.
