Reminder: Library Card Contest Design entries due tomorrow

(1-2 minute read)

Young artists in Reading have one more day to submit their entries for the Reading Public Library’s Library Card Design Contest.

The contest, open to students in grades K-7, invites participants to create an original design inspired by this year’s theme:

Reading is Revolutionary

The winning artwork will be selected by the Board of Library Trustees and featured on a limited edition library card debuting in September 2026.

A chance to showcase creativity

Students are encouraged to use their imagination and artistic style to create a design using materials such as colored pencils, markers, and paint.

Contest guidelines and submission details are available on the Reading Public Library website and in the Children’s Room at the library (64 Middlesex Avenue).

Deadline tomorrow

All entries must be submitted by Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 9 pm. Entries can be dropped off at the Reading Public Library or submitted using the online entry form.

The contest offers students an opportunity to combine creativity and reading while contributing something lasting to the community.

Families are encouraged to submit designs before tomorrow’s deadline.
