Looking for a fun, low-key activity to fill your child’s summer evenings? Reading Recreation is offering an ultimate frisbee program this summer, open to players of all skill levels, whether your kid has never touched a disc or is already a fan of the sport.
Over eight Monday evening sessions, participants will work on throwing, catching, and defensive skills through drills, scrimmages, and game play. They’ll also learn the rules and strategies that make ultimate frisbee one of the fastest-growing sports around: a fast-paced, self-officiated game that rewards communication, athleticism, and sportsmanship in equal measure.
The program runs from June 22 through August 10 at Coolidge Middle School Field, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. It’s designed for kids ages 10 to 15, and is a great way to make new friends and stay active over the summer.
