The Reading School Committee has announced four finalists in its search for the district’s next Superintendent, following the upcoming departure of Dr. Thomas Milaschewski at the end of the school year.

Town Manager Matt Kraunelis and the Town of Reading issued a joint statement during the February 24, 2026, Select Board meeting addressing the status of his tenure.

As of 6:00 pm, Reading has received approximately 14 inches of snow, and more than 50 pieces of equipment have been deployed to clear roads during the storm.

The Reading Public Schools community received bittersweet news this week as School Committee Chair Shawn Brandt announced that Dr. Milaschewski will step down as Superintendent at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year.
